Chicago Area 2025 Fall Tournament
It was an amazing day at the Fall 2025 Tournament in Glenview, Il.
The event was held on November 8th at Henry Winkleman School. We were thrilled to welcome 100 young players representing 40 different schools, competing across 3 divisions (K-1, 2-3, 4-5), showing off their focus, strategy, and sportsmanship.
The event featured face painting, a scavenger hunt, and plenty of pizza, which kept students energized and added to the festive atmosphere. Several matches came down to the final seconds, and the sportsmanship throughout the event was outstanding - students shook hands, analyzed games together, and encouraged one another throughout the day.
For many students, it was their first tournament, and seeing their confidence and pride grow with each round was so fun to see. Everyone greatly enjoyed the event, and the energy during the awards ceremony capped off an incredible day.
Special thanks go out to Henry Winkleman School for hosting, to all the families for their support, and to our amazing tournament team for keeping everything running smoothly. Special shoutout to the Chess Wizards coaches who organized rounds, supported students, and helped create such a fun and welcoming environment.

Here’s to celebrating young minds, teamwork, and the power of chess!
