Dallas 2026 Winter Tournament

It was a wonderful day for chess at the Winter 2026 Tournament in Dallas, Texas. 

The event was held on March 7^th at Lakehill Preparatory School. We were thrilled to welcome 33 young players competing across 3 divisions (K-1, 2-3, 4-5), showing off their focus, strategy, and sportsmanship.

A big rain storm hit right as people were arriving but it didn't dampen spirits one bit. When kids weren't playing chess, they had fun coloring, playing soccer, hunting down clues for the prize scavenger hunt and eying up the spectacular trophy table. There were lots of smiles, hi-fives and life-changing enrichment for all.

And to all of our Chess Wizard staff: Saylor, Alex, Justin, Alexandra, Ben and Marshall, who worked so hard to put on this amazing event and helped create such a fun and welcoming environment.
